A new index to identify the risk of developing non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH)
iNASH is an innovative diagnostic algorithm to determine the probability of having NASH in patients with hepatitis C virus, allowing the identification of the disease at the early stage, so that tailored treatments may be promptly activated to reduce worsening.
To calculate iNASH only a blood sample is needed.
Liver biopsy is the gold standard for NASH diagnosis, but this technique is expensive, invasive and not amenable for large scale screening applications on at risk population. iNASH satisfy the unmet clinical need to identify the risk of NASH development in a simple, not expensive, not invasive and accurate fashion.
