Collaborative project with Vietnam

Xeptagen has presented to the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) a project for the stratification of patients with hepatitis C in collaboration with the University of Padua, the Liver Study Center in Trieste and the University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam. The project aims at developing a novel decisional approach based on the biomarker SCCA-IgM to identify those patients that will benefit the most from the new direct-acting anti-viral (DAA) drugs. The international collaboration with Vietnam will allow an exchange of clinical and scientific knowledge, and will provide the Asian country with an economical tool to save costs in the therapeutic management of patients with hepatitis C.
